Michael Moore going as himself.  Posted by Hello

The Commissar at Politburo Dikat, for a change of uniform I guess. Posted by Hello

When I first heard that the memo from Dan Rather was a forgery, I didn't believe it. Even knowing how partisan he and CBS has always been, I still believed that they would not put out a complete lie. But I was wrong.
I find the following hard to believe as well, but NOTHING the left says anymore surprises me.

Former CBSNEWS anchorman Walter Cronkite believes Bush adviser Karl Rove is possibly behind the new Bin Laden tape.Cronkite made the startling comments late Friday during an interview on CNN.Cronkite said he is "inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing."Interviewer Larry King did not ask Cronkite to elaborate on the provocative election eve accusation. via Drudge

I don't mean this to incite. But the more I read of Bin Laden's speech, the more I hear democratic talking points. From the sneering referral of Bush's book reading to the little girl when the towers were hit to criticizing the Patriot Act.
I have to believe that it bothers democrats to have OSAMA BIN LADEN use your talking points against the President of the United States.
It does bother you, right? Please tell me it does.

David Brooks in the NY Times says it all about the Bin Laden tape. Go..... read.

Well, the most gruesome face of all came on TV today 2 days before Halloween. Bin Laden finally shows his face again. No doubt hoping to affect the election. Here is a bit of the monster's words:

"Bush is still deceiving you and hiding the truth from you and therefore the reasons are still there to repeat what happened (with new attacks)"

Why does this sound familiar? And what were those reasons again? Oh yes. Israel.

"We had agreed with the overall commander Mohammed Atta (who led the Sept 11. suicide plane hijackers), may God rest his soul, to carry out all operations in 20 minutes before Bush and his administration take notice," he said.

I don't think I have ever commented on the state of someone's soul but I feel with certainty that Atta's soul is neither at rest nor with God.

"As I watched the destroyed towers in Lebanon, it occurred to me to punish the unjust the same way ... to destroy towers in America so that it can taste some of what we are tasting and to stop killing our children and women," said bin Laden.

he was referring to our support of Israel, which will continue with Bush or Kerry, so Bin Laden is out of luck there.
Here's a quote I haven't heard on the American news, but I have in European news:

"Liberals do not neglect their security, contradicting Bush, who says that we hate freedom," Bin Laden said.

An endorsement for Kerry? That has got to hurt. An endorsement you really really don't want.

Mortimer B. Zuckerman, editor of U.S News and World Report lays out the real truth about Iraq in it's Nov. 1 issue:

*Saddam wanted to re-create Iraq's banned weapons programs including nuclear weapons.
*Saddam was determined to develop ballistic missiles and tactical chemical weapons when the U.N. sanctions were either lifted or corroded.
*Saddam increased his military industrial spending 40-fold from 1996-2002.
*Saddamn's scientist were performing deadly experiments on human guinea pigs in secret labs.

Where did this information come from? The Duelfer report. Yes the same one you heard about that found no WMD. Why didn't you hear the rest? Because that is all the MSM concentrated on. This was also in the report:

"Iraq would have been able to produce mustard agents in a period of months and nerve agent in less than a year of two."
It went on to say that "Saddam intended to reconstitute long-range delivery systems (missiles) and the systems potentially were for WMD."

Zuckerman points out that sanctions were not working and prohibited goods and weapons were being shipped into Iraq with no problem. From where? France, China, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, and Syria. No surprise many of these same countries were the ones protesting the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

Saddam's chief nuclear guru, Mahdi Obeidi, says that "Saddam's strategic objective was quite simple- to end the sanctions so he could reconstitute his banned weapons programs." He goes on to say that they had the designs needed to jump-start the nuclear weapons program and "there is no question that they would have done so very quickly." Obeidi was unable to tell U.N. inspectors these things before we invaded because Saddam had his family held hostage.

Duelfer described Saddam to the Senate Armed Services Committee "as a grave threat to the Middle East and to the entire world."

Zuckerman ends the article with this sentence:

"What stopped Saddam was the will of a few strong-minded leaders who believed ina more forceful response than simply joining hand and singing "Kumbaya."

If you are one of those who still believes that this was the wrong war at the wrong time and that our soldiers are there for nothing, then I can't help you. The truth is the truth. I hate war as much as anyone, but some things must be defended. Sometimes hard unpopular decisions must be made. I want and need a leader willing to make those decisions.
There are many other reasons I support Bush other than the war, but they are dwarfed by this world changing event. I pray we can get back to discussing these other issues. But for now, we fight the good fight.
Find it in your heart to vote for Bush on Tuesday. This mom would be grateful.

(Reuters) - U.S. marines are preparing for an assault on rebels in the Iraqi cities of Falluja and Ramadi, a senior commander said on Friday.
"We are gearing up for a major operation," Brigadier General Denis Hajlik told reporters at a base near Falluja. "If we do so, it will be decisive and we will whack them."
Hajlik, deputy commander of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, said the expected operation would include the insurgent-held cities of Falluja and Ramadi, west of Baghdad, and would also involve Iraqi forces.

Lets keep our soldiers in our prayers during this important battle. May God bless them and protect them.

UPDATE on missing weapons story. Fox News is reporting that a soldier from the 3rd ID will speak shortly saying that he denoted 200 tons of explosives of the RDX stockpiles on April 17th from the Al-Qakka facility. (after his unit taking them to Baghdad, If I am hearing it correctly) Another piece of the puzzle, along with satellite photos showing Russian and Iraqi trucks backed up to the bunkers on March 17th.

Hugh Hewitt says it better than I ever could:

"My WeeklyStandard.com column, "The Commander-in-Chief," blasts John Kerry for his opportunistic trashing of the 3rd Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Division.

"This is not a good man," said Lynne Cheney last week, and that verdict seemed impossible to escape, even before news arrived of the
complete discrediting of the Kerry-New York Times' ticket's wild theory of Army negligence in the securing of the mythical munitions. If Kerry had a shred of decency, he would apologize to the troops that passed through and searched the munitions complex. He doesn't, so he won't. But the American electorate will know. He could lose 45 states. Try spinning a savage and unmerited assault on the competence of the much beloved American military.

Someone forgot to tell John Kerry that it isn't 1971, and the Genghis Khan stuff doesn't fly anymore."

The soldier I quoted on my Tues. Oct. 26th post commented at that post. This was his first comment. Read the rest on that post's comment section. What can I say? He rocks. No spin. No politics. This is a warrior not a pundit. Read and learn:

"Great site. Thanks for all the thoughtful debate about my observations while in Iraq. I'm actually in Kuwait right now- I was in Iraq when all this was going down. Believe it or not, there was a lot of stuff going on during that time. I'm not going to say we did everything right 100% of the time. I will say that any mistakes we made were ours alone, and had nothing to do with the President or anyone else who wasn't even close to Iraq at the time. If there was a massive cache of explosives in our midst, we would have secured it and dealt with it appropriately. Kerry is grasping at straws here- looking for anything and everything he can find to highlight our failures. I'm a registered Libertarian, and I didn't vote for Bush, and I had no problem serving under Clinton. But Kerry's a disgrace- pure and simple. I'm tired of watching him lie about the accomplishments that many of my fellow soldiers died to achieve." 2Slick Email Homepage 10.28.04 - 1:47 pm #

What is wrong with people??? I mean your baseball team wins and you go riot???? Last night Boston police had to arrest and tear gas people and 40 people got hurt. HELLO!!! This is suppose to be a celebration!! Its pathetic is what it is.

Of course actor and star of 'Punked" Aston Kushner says if Bush gets re-elected we won't be able to "celebrate" anymore.
Oh we will Aston, don't worry, we will. Maybe not with someone old enough to be our mother, but we will party.

Another 2 hour wait to vote yesterday in my area. MSNBC News says Texas isn't the only place this is happening. Honestly, I think part of it is that everyone just wants to get it over with. But maybe part of it is that people are nervous about the actual election day. I hope to God nothing bad happens with these mutants trying to disrupt the process. ( I am referring to the terrorists, not democrats...;-)

"Toon Porn" Can we get any sicker or wierd? I'm serious. These are cartoon women. Guys, sometimes you just need to get a hobby.

Things don't look good for Arafat. If he passes away the AP reports:

"Analysts said it could take years for a leader to emerge, hurting prospects for already stagnant attempts at peacemaking between Israel and the Palestinians. Nevertheless, Israel and the United States hold out hope a post-Arafat Middle East would be more conducive to peace because of what they see as Arafat's blind eye to terror and opposition to reform."

UPDATE on missing weapons story: ( although I am truly sick of it )

From Drudge:
Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein’s weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned. John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, “almost certainly” removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad. via Protein Wisdom

And this:

ABC says it has “confidential IAEA documents” showing that “on Jan. 14, 2003, the agency’s inspectors recorded that just over 3 tons of RDX was stored at the facility” — not 380 tons as reported by The New York Times on Monday.”

Just a tiny mistake there. Maybe if these news organizations weren't in such a hurry to smear Bush, they might get the story right the first time.

Funny Quote of the day:

"Where are we going? And why are we in this handbasket?"

Just 4 more days!! I can hardly wait to snag all the snickers bars from my kid's bags!! Posted by Hello

Tuesday, October 26, 2004

Former New York City Police Commission Bernard Kerik --Police Commissioner on 9/11--who spent four months in Iraq after the fall of Baghdad has this to say about the 'missing weapons':

" John Kerry has been saying for the last year --depending on what day you talk to him-- he's been saying there were no weapons, Saddam was not a threat. OK, well, yesterday he's screaming and yelling that Saddam was a threat with the weapons that are missing. Bottom line: There aren't any weapons or munitions missing that we didn't secure.
What John Kerry doesn't know or doesn't understand is that we seized more than 280,000 tons that were detonated already. We seized another 160,000 tons that are pending detonation."

He went on to say: "People have to realize that all of Iraq was a weapons cache. The whole country was saturated with explosives. And this is what President Bush meant when he talked about the threat. This was a part of that threat. We have been addressing the issue since we got there. The problem is that John Kerry just doesn't have a clue." via Hugh Hewitt

MSNBC reporting:
" U.S Defense officials said Tuesday that the materials could have vanished during a period of about 3 weeks, between March 15th, 2003. when inspectors for the IAEA confirmed that at least some of the materials were still stored under IAEA seal at Al-Qaqaa, and April 4th, when troops arrived."

the 101rst Airborne's Screaming Eagles, the troops there at the time are saying the weapons were not there when they arrived. Like I have said many times before, I will believe our warriors before I will believe any partisan news anchor or newspaper.

Nice try though.

Update : LGF: “Chief US Weapons inspector Charles Duelfer issued an urgent warning about the weapons cache at Al-Qaqaa—in 1995—and the International Atomic Energy Agency opted to ignore the warning and let Saddam Hussein keep his explosives.” via Protein Wisdom

Lets see, Bush was not President in 1995. Who will the left blame this on??

***Sorry about that totally wierd update post. I don't know what happened. It might be because I was trying to blog while helping my 11 yr old with Science, running outside with my 2 little ones to see the eclipse and helping type a paper for my daughter.
ANWAY!!! This is what it was suppose to say:

A soldier with the 101st Airborne had this to say:

"I was with the 101st when we RIP’d (Relieved in Place) the 3rd ID in that region.
380 tons of explosives would require about 40 truckloads to haul it away. It would have taken more than 1 week (and an unbelievable amount of man-hours and heavy-moving equipment) simply to load the trucks. To imply that those trucks could have been loaded and then driven away unnoticed, under the watchful eye of the 3rd ID is absolutely ludicrous. I know you’re not a military type, but you’re a smart enough guy to understand this.
No, those explosives were moved well before any Americans ever crossed the border. It’s the only feasible scenario, and it fits right in with Saddam’s gameplan. A retired Iraqi Air Force General (now an employ at Mosul Airfield) explained Saddam’s looney strategy to me over tea one day."

I have said it many time before and I will say it again. I believe the warrior.

Hog On Ice has the perfect take about the "missing weapons" story that Kerry and the lefties are jumping with glee over:

"The New York Times just launched a completely dishonest and blatant October Surprise at Bush. When U.S. troops arrived at Iraq's Al-Qaqaa weapons site early last year, they found that 380 tons of explosives had been taken. This is ancient news, it was obviously unpreventable, and the 380 tons are a tiny, tiny fraction of one percent of the weapons and explosives that were present in Iraq. The vast, vast majority were confiscated and are being destroyed.
Unfortunately, an NBC embed who was present when we arrived in Al-Qaqaa came forward and said the story was B.S. He pointed out that the explosives were gone when we arrived.''

These bogus attack stories of the left just keep backfiring on them, don't they? This is why the left hates Fox and the internet blogs so much. The NY Times cannot get away with their partisan 'news' anymore.

UPDATE:

The Head of IAEA does not want Bush re-elected so he kept putting this story out there. This story has been known since May of 2003 when inspectors noticed that the explosives were missing. The NY Times and CBS waited until now to blow it into a big story for the obvious reason. The soldiers on the ground are agreeing with the statement that the explosives were gone when U.S. forces arrived. All there at the time say that it was implausible that these weapons could have been taken with U.S forces in control of the one road to this facility. Considering that it wouldhave taken at least 100 men 2 weeks to remove these weapons (via Captain's Quarters) It seems clear te weapons were removed before our forces arrived.

On C-Span Liz Edwards predicts riots if Kerry loses:

"No, there won't be any riots after the election, not if we win."

Acknowledging the fact that Republicans, of course, will not riot if the opposite occurs. via- The Politburo Diktat

Another monster meets the grim reaper:
"A U.S. airstrike in Fallujah on Tuesday killed an aide to Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi." via ABC News
And more good news :
"Recent strikes and raids targeting the Abu Musab al-Zarqawi network have severely degraded its ability to conduct attacks,"

You remember Al-Zarqawi's group? They call themselves al-Qaida (I prefer to call them mutant demons) in Iraq and claimed responsibility for the attack on 50 Iraqi forces soldiers who were shot execution style on a remote eastern Iraqi highway.
It is widely speculated that Bin Laden is either dead or incapacitated and Al-Zarqawi is now the head mutant. I pray that our attacks on Fallujah will send this monster to the 72 virgin goats he so deserves.

In other "so stupid it has to be about democrat lawyers" news: via Cincinnati.com

A federal appeals court blocked a lower court ruling last week that ordered Michigan elections officials to count the ballots of voters who go to the wrong polling places. The blocked ruling said that the registration of voters who voted in the wrong precinct but the right community would be verified after the election.

Although this ruling allowing provisional ballots cast in the wrong precincts was blocked, the Sec. Of State said that voters who showed up at the wrong polling site would be turned away and directed to the proper precinct.
(in a related story, democrats are hiring off duty crossing guards from elementary schools to hold the voters hands as they guide them to the proper precinct) **Just kidding, but you believed it for a second, didn't you??

Florida, Missouri and Colorado have all ruled as well that the state must reject provisional ballots if they are cast in the wrong precinct.
Keep in mind that in these lawsuits those who were requesting that the provisional ballots be counted were democrats, who continually insult their voters by assuming they are too stupid to find out where they should go vote.

Just yesterday in Ohio U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones carried the message of the day to Ohio Democrats: "Be sure to vote in the correct precinct."
("you stupid idiots," she was heard to mutter under her breath) **Just kidding again, but come on! That's the implication, isn't it?

John Edwards campaigned in Ohio at the Allen Temple A.M.E. Church. To those who would complain that his church shouldn't get involved in political activity, Allen Temple Pastor Donald H. Jordan Sr. Had an answer: "I'm not worried about the (nonprofits) law. I'm asking you to support him," he said in introducing Edwards. (later Pastor Jordan remarked "I'm not worried about burning in the everlasting fires of hell either.")**Just kidding again!!

You can watch the full "Stolen Honor" online.
I will never understand why Kerry just couldn't apologize to the Vietnam veterans, not for opposing the war, but for believing those who have been discredited for lying about seeing and participating in the "war crimes" that Kerry spoke of in his hearing before congress. Why can't he apologize for the pain they have experienced because of his words?

This Vet tells usthe real story about the men Kerry spoke of. via Bad Example

I have been IMing a bit with a 28yr old black man from Harlem who sponsers a hip hop site and is involved in 'rap the vote.' He tells me that the people he knows see no difference in Kerry and Bush. To them they are both from well to do families, both attended ivy league, both in the same fraternity. I told him that I understood his perspective, but found it amusing that I, on the other hand, see Kerry and Bush as different as night and day.

But it did give me the feeling that the black community may not feel the need to get out and vote for either candidate since they see no difference in them. And that could only hurt Kerry. But I want more than that. I want the black community to see that voting Reublican means that it's not about reaching down and helping you up, but about reaching over and seeing things eye to eye. Smaller government, lower taxes on indiviuals and business mean the same thing to black Americans as it does to white Americans. Building a culture of life, strengthening families, and protecting constitutional rights help us all to be a better people, a better society.

Don't be afraid to discuss these things with your black co-workers or friends. Every vote will count this election and it's time for a change in the way the black community votes.

We have early voting here in Texas. The news said that the polls were packed this weekend so I waited until 10:30 this morning and there was a 2 hour wait!! I have never seen that before!!! This is not exactly a swing state and I live in a pretty Republican area. I think everyone is serious about having their vote count. I think this is a good thing for Bush.

This doctor thinks having supplies of anthrax and smallpox vaccine was a waste when we could be subsidizing flu vaccine.

"Instead of spending all its vaccine money on the production of all but useless bioterror, the government, through a more prudent flu subsidy could increase the avaiability of a vaccine that might actually save lives.

Something tells me that if we ever got hit with a anthrax attack the vaccines might not seem so useless. Hey Doc, people can get over the flu, anthrax is pretty much a death sentence for everyone.

These people really don't see a terrorist threat at all, do they?

Countdown to Halloween!!!! Posted by Hello

This weekend I had to get 2 teens ready for homecoming. I had one football banquet and a baseball game. And then on Sunday I volunteered at the Church fall festival. In addition I was forced to watch "Shark Tale." Am I the only one who noticed the subtle cross dressing reference? I mean come on! A dad shark doesn't like his son because he doesn't want to kill and he likes to "dress like a dolphin." Oh well, the kids laughed alot and thats what is important. I am an unusual woman who doesn't like movies, TV ( have never watched Oprah or soaps ) or shopping. ( I firmly believe that online shopping is God's personal gift to me ) I cannot sit still long enough for TV. The only reason I can blog is because my computer is in my kitchen so I can get all my domestic stuff done as well.
Ok, back to politics.
Captain's Quarters has excerpt from Arthur Chrenkoff's column:

"There are two Iraqs.
The one we more often get to see and read about is a dangerous place, full of exploding cars, kidnapped foreigners and deadly ambushes. The reconstruction is proceeding at a snail's pace, frustration boils over and tensions - political, ethnic, religious - crackle in the air like static electricity before a storm.
The other Iraq is a once prosperous and promising country of twenty-four million people, slowly recovering from physical and moral devastation of totalitarian rule. It's a country whose people are slowly beginning to stand on their own feet, grasp the opportunities undreamed of only two years ago, and dream of catching up on three decades of lost time."

The MSM and the left like to focus on the first Iraq. But we like to take comfort in the 2nd Iraq. Despite our disagreements about why we went into Iraq, I think all of us, left or right, hope that the 2nd Iraq becomes the democracy that we dream of.

Going into the home stretch it looks like Bush is a nose ahead. "PLEASE GOD PLEASE !!!" Oh.....sorry, got caught up in the moment.
We can only hope that Teresa will once again say something stupid or Kerry will decide to do another "I look like a regular guy, don't I?" appearance. By the way, who was that guy with Kerry on his hunting trip? A Goose caddy?
Well guys I will try to blog more later today after catching up on life as one who has no "real job." Who knew there was so much to do with my chosen not real job????

Funny Quote of the day:
I don't have an attitude problem......jerk.

Sunday, October 24, 2004

You gotta love the hollywood left when it shows its true colors.
Like with Cher at a poorly attended Kerry rally:

"Because, you know, the people, like, in the very right wing of this party, of these Republicans, the very very right wing, the Jerry Falwell element, if they get any more power, you guys are going to be living in some state by yourselves. So, I hate scare tactics, but I really believe that that's true." via Drudge.

Thats right, we rightwingers can't wait to pack all the gay people into, I don't know.......Vermont? The space aliens will help us of course. I understand they have some sort of siren song that hypnotizes gays into moving to one place. I just didn't realize the hollywood crowd had caught on to our plan.

Everything you wanted to know about the polls but were afraid to ask.

Yeah, lets pull out of Iraq and leave them to these monsters.
